    The purpose of standards in thew Florida teaching profession is to provide a clear and engaging framework for students covering what they should know and learn in each grade level to prepare them for future success. The Florida Standards on the CPALMS website are clearly organized and laid out. The standard that I chose regarding technology and digital learning/ usage in the classroom is SC.3.CC.2.1- Identify uses of technology when sending communication over the internet. In my own words, this standard asks students to think about and identify how to use technology to engage in teamwork and communication over technological platforms. I feel prepared to implement this standard with my current skill set because of the familiarity I have with digital and technology usage for communication. 
    On the CPALMS website I found a Toolkit regarding drugs and drug usage. There are a few lesson plans provided on the website. This tool is very useful because it is a verified florida approved source that supplies lesson plans for teachers to use in the classroom. It takes the burden of creating the lesson plan off of the teacher and allows the teacher to focus on actually teaching the material. I think this lesson plan is useful because it is necessary for children to understand the dangers of drugs so that they do not begin using them. 
    Internet searching is a vital was to retrieve information needed for teaching, informing others, and informing yourself. It is important to be proficient in internet searching as a teacher because on the internet, not all of the information is verified or true. It is important to find your information on trustworthy sources so that when you implement that information into your classroom, you inform your student with the correct information. I will most likely use the CPALMS website very frequently in my classroom so that I know my students will be learning the correct standards for their grade level.

     ISTE Standards Blog Post #2- Rachel Miller      MS Word has been an extremely prominent tool in my education and I have used it for many years. Word is definitely my favorite processing software because it is universally accepted, straight forward, efficient and typically the standard software. In high school, I used a combination of Word and Google Docs. At the time Word did not automatically save work so I preferred using Google Docs so that I wouldn't lose my work if I forgot to save everything but since Word also automatically saves now it is my preferred software.       The ISTE standards for educators include: Learner, leader, citizen, collaborator, designer, facilitator, and analyst.  Blog Journal 4      My early experiences using social media tools such as Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter/X started outside of school mostly to connect with friends, family and peers. I have the most experience with instagram and Pinterest and the least amount of experience with twitter. My experiences on these social media platforms has taught me how to interact and use my digital resources.
