  The new skills I acquired by working on the web design assignment are organization of a website, the creation of a website, different uses for a website, and clearly providing information about school related activities in one place. I learned how to set up a website so that it was efficiently and easily accessible, and each page contain relevant information. I had to use design principles to make the website, appealing, easy to interpret, and symmetrical/proportionate. I used the same fonts throughout the website. I made the pictures lineup and be appealing to the eye so that everything looked centered. I didn’t overcrowd information on one page so that looking at the website wasn’t confusing. I thought it was cool to design a website, but I think the platform I used was a bit confusing and glitchy. I also couldn’t really figure out how to publish my page at first .      Many school implement websites for teachers, admin, and students to use to navigate essential information, frequently asked questions, and communicate within the school. Some schools require that certain teachers have their own pages on these websites. When used correctly, these websites contain useful information regarding assignments and homework, contact information, classroom resources, announcements, syllabus policies, calendar and a teacher biography. The information on these websites is usually public and does not require a log in.        The purpose of standards in thew Florida teaching profession is to provide a clear and engaging framework for students covering what they should know and learn in each grade level to prepare them for future success. The Florida Standards on the CPALMS website are clearly organized and laid out. The standard that I chose regarding technology and digital learning/ usage in the classroom is SC.3.CC.2.1- Identify uses of technology when sending communication over the internet. In my own words, this standard asks students to think about and identify how to use technology to engage in teamwork and communication over technological platforms. Blog Journal #5      My experience with blogging is very sparse and limited. My only experience with blogging has been in this class but blogging is similar to other forms of media expression such as texting or writing an article and publishing it online. I have learned how to set up a blog, write down my ideas in a structured yet casual manner, and how to add pictures to a blog.  Blog Journal 4      My early experiences using social media tools such as Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter/X started outside of school mostly to connect with friends, family and peers. I have the most experience with instagram and Pinterest and the least amount of experience with twitter. My experiences on these social media platforms has taught me how to interact and use my digital resources.  Blog Journal #3      Technology is incredibly important in classrooms to expand accessibility and effiiency however technology also brings along many issues as well. In the implementation of technology often leads to decreased productivity due to the distractions that it brings. This isa serious problem because it can hinder learning but that does not mean technology isn't useful or that it cannot be solved. In order to increase probability on devices such as computers or tablets in the classroom, exposure time could be monitored and limited. If student are given too much free time on devices they will get distracted.
